Dessert Parties! - Day 4 Part 2. 11/11/2021
I think I’ve mentioned these maybe on a video somewhere but Dessert Parties are a cool (but costly) way of getting a pretty great spot for the fireworks.
They often have them in all the parks but currently they are running three 50th anniversary specials: the pre fireworks, post fireworks (both $99) and the Treats and Seats $114. For the first two you either have your dessert party first then go to your spot or vice versa. For treats and seats I think you have a prime seated viewing spot at Tomorrowland Terrace where you stay for the whole time and have the party at the same time.
I went tor the pre-fireworks which gave me time to get back to Epcot later for a Frozen Ever After LL that I had booked. Did I take any photos of the desserts? I did not lol but you get a lovely selection, plus cheeses, plus drinks (hot, cold and non alcoholic) before getting escorted to the great viewing spot for the fireworks.
I met a lovely couple of ladies who I chatted to through the party and stood with during the fireworks - another perk of going solo, new friends!
I really like Enchantment. It will never be the same as Happily Ever After which holds a special place in my and I’m sure a lot of people’s hearts, but it has a great song, the castle projections are fun. It’s really good!
The crush to leave the park was REAL but not as bad as I’ve known it! (Maybe do the After-Party Desserts to avoid this)
TOP TIP HERE: if you need to get back to the TTC once Magic Kingdom kicks out, use either the resort monorail OR the boat. Both, in particular the boat, are much quicker than anything else at that time of night - the cast members are yelling it at everyone but nobody seems to listen! Trust them!
I grabbed the resort monorail through the Contemporary to TTC then on to Epcot for my last bit of the night. Frozen Ever After ride. I’ve never managed to get on it before and it was more fun than I thought, had no idea it had the two little drops!
However I got a very wet butt so I’m glad I did it at the end of the night. Made it out of Norway and walked very fast to France to get the Three Cheese Beignet then get out of the park before all the crowds! I did it! Back on the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios - what a cooling and relaxing way to go home! Before forgetting that Hollywood Studios was closed - even though a cast member reminded me as I was climbing into my gondola - and I couldn’t get a bus back to the resort so I had to get a Lyft instead!
Not a problem though, it wasn’t cold and I still had a nice time!
Up early tomorrow because it is Disney+ day which means Resort guests are getting an EXTRA 30 minutes early entry so I need to be up and in the park ready tomorrow!
