Epcot - Day 5. 12/11/2021
Woke up too early again so got up and took my lateral flow test then just started getting ready. I knew I was going to be really early today but after yesterday’s timings I didn’t mind at all.
Got the bus to Hollywood Studios then Skyliner to Epcot - I officially love this route! It’s not a very warm day but not cold either, except on the transportation! Brrr !
Once the park opened at 9 everyone mostly made a bee line to Frozen Ever After but I went straight to Test Track and then to Mission Space. Yay! I was determined to make use of my hour and get on at least 2 rides - and I did!
After that I started back to World Showcase, getting myself another yummy Food & Wine special coffee on the way I also grabbed a big cookie, but I packed that in my bag for later.
Plans for food were nearly underway but not quite until 11am so I went to Morocco to see what was happening with one of the Disney+ photo ops. Had a few photos taken there, then off to the food booths!
All the time I’m keeping an eye out for Snow White in Germany) because I want her to see my outfit! (Note: I never saw her. Aww )
Food food food! Lots of different yummy foods! I had a lot of good treats and to ticked off some of my festival “must haves.” And then had a “rest” by going on the single rider line of Test Track which was literally a walk on! So good!
Then I got some LL passes for Soarin’, and Journey into Imagination. I left Figment and the Disney Pixar film Festival was just about to begin so I went to watch that. It was really cute! 3 short films, some of which I’d watched before, done in 3D - just 18 minutes plus your wait time
There was also another Disney+ photopass opportunity right as I exited so I took advantage of that too!
Next was a Seas with Nemo LL and then to make my way back to World Showcase so that I will be ready for Remy when my time is called. on the way to Nemo I found a little Joy too!
Okay I still had a little time before I needed to be back in France so another trip on Spaceship Earth was called for!
I started to really make a fast walk to France, calling at Shimmering Sips for a flight of mimosas and it was YUM but hard to drink while walking when I got a text to say I had an hour to get to my Remy boarding pass hooray! So not only did I stop to enjoy my flight, I also had time to enjoy a little bit of filet mignon from the Canada Booth!
Then off to Ratatouille. I enjoyed it but I found it exactly the same as the French one. EXACTLY. I don’t know why I thought there might be a little less French in it. Don’t know how to explain that!
Off the ride and decided I’d had enough of carrying so much stuff and also feeling a bit sticky so I was thinking of popping back to the resort for a rinse off and get changed before finishing the night. Called at the Mexico booth before heading out.
Sat down to eat my ribeye taco and drink my margarita and then made the decision NOT to head back to the resort because I couldn’t be bothered. So I sat for a little while just listening to the sounds and watching the sights which was wonderful. Then made another LL selection at Mission Space and planned a few things to keep me going to my dinner reservation at Rose & Crown. (You know - when in America, eat at the English place!)
They save the firework viewing patio tables for guests who reserve their tables so don’t expect to just walk up and get one!
Food at the Rose & Crown for me tonight was a cheese platter, delicious except I don’t know what the heck they had made as like a piccalilli, or maybe it was just pickled cauliflower but it was odd. Fish & chips - there was a lot on the menu including some very delicious sounding specials, but I don’t get to eat fish & chips often so I wanted to try it! And I got the beer sampler too. And a lovely cup of tea to finish.
Side note: I was VERY sleepy today. Tomorrow is my second Animal Kingdom day. But I might have to have a nice rest in the middle.
Also, I have been bitten on my leg and on my chin by some bug or other
