Last Day in the Magic Kingdom - 18/11/2021

My last day. I set an alarm for 7 to book a Seven Dwarves LL but I am not rushing into the parks today. I want to make sure everything is packed and ready and have Bell services pick up my luggage for me as it’s so flippin’ heavy now! Much much lazier morning, took my test, got everything packed and collected by bell services (don’t forget to have a little cash ready for anyone who handles your luggage: typically $1 per bag is good. I rounded up to $5) and finally headed into Magic Kingdom at 10.15. I had my food pre-ordered from Sleepy Hollow and I’ve got a couple of LL ready to go already - one Genie+, one Fancy Ride - with one more to get when I arrive at 11, maybe even 2 if I can squeeze another in! My ‘tragical’ express is picking up at 3.45pm so I am aiming to leave MK at 2.30pm to make sure I am in plenty of time. Don’t want to miss the bus! I’m going to try and squeeze in a couple of things I missed today. When I spoke to one of my daughters and she asked my which rides I’d bee...

Hollywood Studios - Day 10. 17/11/2021

I started my morning with a Lyft to Topolino Terrace for a character breakfast which was fun and delicious and my server was wonderful. Incidentally I went to book a Individual Lightning Lane / Fancy Ride TM for Slinky Dog Dash (even though I swore I wouldn’t! ) while I was waiting for my Lyft to pick me up and I watched them disappear before my eyes. They went FAST!!! But I did grab one for Rise of the Resistance in the afternoon. Once again I had a really happy and friendly server at Topolino’s which I think makes all the difference in any restaurant. They brought out some complimentary pastries - well not complimentary. Included in the price! Basically because I didn’t order them! They gave me the pastries with various spreads and then I ordered the quiche on my server Nabila’s recommendation which was very tasty. A lovely cup of tea and spending some time with artist Mickey, poet Minnie, sculptor Donald and ballerina Daisy. Then they all came out together to do the celebratio...

Second Day at Universal Resort Again & Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2 - Day 9. 16/11/2021

This first part might not be the best! Woke up in the morning with a really bad headache and all my painkillers were stupidly in my Disney hotel room. I was very glad I did most of my Universal stuff already yesterday as I could tell I wasn’t going to last too long today. My plan was to hit the two big rides and the ones I missed which wasn’t many, have lunch and then head back to Coronado Springs to sleep this off before the Christmas party. (Plus I have to pack at some point!) So first up I made my way straight to Hagrid’s. Already there was a pretty huge line for it even before the start of the official queue and once I’d got my stuff into the locker it said 75 minutes wait time. The queue winds for ages around the grounds and then around and around inside too, and it’s pretty dark. I was only in the actual queue for about 50 minutes I think and the ride was TOTALLY worth it, really great. I was with another single rider who didn’t have a preference of bike or sidecar (yes you get t...

Universal Orlando Resort - Day 8. 15/11/2021

Day 8 - Universal! Got up, did my test and got ready to go. I may have actually been a bit TOO prepared because I was really early so I went and grabbed a little breakfast in the resort quick service before making my way to the lobby for my pre-booked Lyft. It took 30 minutes to get to my Universal Hotel - I’m staying here at Hard Rock for one night because it’s super close to the parks, you get early entry into the park AND at the Premier hotels, which this one is, you also get FREE UNLIMITED EXPRESS PASSES INCLUDED! For every day of your stay including your check in and check out day! It’s a really great value perk! I had already checked in to the hotel online yesterday, so I confirmed my details, picked up my room key which is your express pass too, collected my annual pass and dropped off my backpack. Then off to the park! It was exactly a five minute walk to the security entrance to the parks and just a couple more to Islands of Adventure. That was all. I set off from the ho...

Magic Kingdom - Day 7. 14/11/2021

Just a note: I asked on my insta story for some suggestions of what to do today and I only got one. It said EVERYTHING! So I did my best! lol My body woke me at 3am to remind me I had not set an alarm for the morning which was good because I had forgotten that I had a 7.50am breakfast at Grand Floridian resort. Alarm set and fortunately I got back to sleep! When it went off, I got up and took my test as usual and got ready to go. I had a switch around of my outfits and decided to make Yzma my go-to today! I love her. The park at MK didn’t open until 9 today and no Disney transportation was available yet, so I booked myself a Lyft - I would recommend Lyft over Uber as they not only do not tend to do surge pricing, they also do discounts at certain times. - I got myself to Grand Floridian and was greeted from my car by a very nice young gentlemen who showed me where I needed to go. GF is absolutely beautiful. Totally out of my price range and not really my type of resort but so, so...

Animal Kingdom - Day 6. 13/11/2021

Day 6 (this is NOT okay!) btw please excuse any typos in these. I’m usually writing them as I walk before I forget when I’ve done. Animal Kingom. Ready in plenty of time this morning, lateral flow test done and everything but I had to run for the bus I have breakfast at Tusker House this morning, excited to see Donald in his Explorer gear (that is who I was bounding as if that helps at all!) and I really wanted to get on the Safari first thing. Desperate to get to hear the male lion roar if I can! SO just to note the Safari doesn’t open during early magic hours, but I had an 8.20 breakfast reservation so I wanted to be on the safari as soon as possible. It. Was. Beautiful. The lion roared and I cried. I’m so emotional about everything but that really was amazing. Brian was the driver and was a lot of fun. Made my way to Tusker House. I’ve never been before and I was SO EXCITED to see Donald. My server Lee saw me and immediately said “Oh boy, Donald is gonna LOVE YOU” I had coffee and f...

Epcot - Day 5. 12/11/2021

Woke up too early again so got up and took my lateral flow test then just started getting ready. I knew I was going to be really early today but after yesterday’s timings I didn’t mind at all. Got the bus to Hollywood Studios then Skyliner to Epcot - I officially love this route! It’s not a very warm day but not cold either, except on the transportation! Brrr ! On arrival at Epcot I got lined up with everyone at International Gateway and we slowly got moved forward bit by bit until we were in Canada ready to start! We had each been given a free hat and badge for Disney+ day too! Once the park opened at 9 everyone mostly made a bee line to Frozen Ever After but I went straight to Test Track and then to Mission Space. Yay! I was determined to make use of my hour and get on at least 2 rides - and I did! After that I started back to World Showcase, getting myself another yummy Food & Wine special coffee on the way I also grabbed a big cookie, but I packed that in my bag for later...
